To be fair, Joseph wasn't going to worry about not biting Rhys that night. Two nights in a row was not going to cause a blood bond. He hadn't expected the emotional rollercoaster that evening had become.
Right now, he didn't care. Right now he was getting lost in the feelings and desires.
Rhys responding, not fighting, was doing a lot to help Joseph get the Beast back in check. Luckily, he hadn't taken too much. Rhys was closer to their progenitor, so his blood was potent and satisfying.
Letting go, he somehow managed to remember to lick closed the wound before he rested his head where he'd just bitten. It took him a few moments before he could speak. "You are amazing," he murmured softly.
As much as they both had probably liked that, Joseph needed to get a full grasp on the Beast before he did something they both would regret. "Give me a moment, love," he said softly. He'd explained what his Beast was like. Rhys was seeing what happened when he was pushed emotionally. "I'm still a bit of a mess." That was putting it mildly but it was good enough.
