It was normally a bit of a fight to be calm after he had worked himself up so far. The fact that he wasn't just some kindred and had a part to play in the Ivory Tower should have kept that up. But it was Joseph. But Amadeus' words were still there, explaining things he needed to know, or things he older Tremere thought he needed to know. There were parts to calm him and keep spiking the negatives but he was fighting, still.
Following the older man, Rhys kept relatively quiet, rubbing his thumbs against his palms. There were two sides and him. There were risks, he'd been told. It was up to him. Maybe he hadn't realized it in his home, but Ariel had been doing his best to cheer him on. "No, nothing." Honestly, he wanted to just curl up and the fact that he could have had simply asked Joseph to come over was in the back of his mind. There was still that pit of his stomach feeling but it was slowly fading.
