But he hadn't trusted in him, truly, and tonight had shown that. He shouldn't have just let himself get like that, no matter what he was being told, or by whom. He didn't know Joseph as well as he could, and that had seen him doubting everything he had seen and felt for the past few nights. Even so, he had trusted him in so many other ways, right? And now he was going to continue that instead of letting it go again.
There were still things to hold back, maybe on both sides, though.

Leaning forward, the younger man placed his forehead against Joseph's. "Please, tell me anything you want to." If he had questions in between, he could ask them then. "C-can we sit down and talk?"
