Joseph would have loved to spend every moment with Rhys but duty called. Luckily, everything seemed to going well. So he shouldn't be gone long.
If he hadn't thought it would terrify the poor boy, he'd have given Rhys a proper hug in greeting. A handshake was less presumptuous on his part.
Nobody missed the lost puppy dog look Rhys cast over his shoulder at Joseph. Chantal chuckled. "Endlessly," she assured her. "For the last two days. Never seen him like this. Bruno said the last time was Paris, but that was way before our time."
"You made quite an impression there, sweetie," Melissa agreed. "Part of the reason we ran to the front of the line when he said you were coming to the show. " She smiled at his statement. "I hope so."
Chantal looked down at his hand. "Oh that is an amazing ring," she said. "Looks like the one Mistress Mab had on last night."
Melissa nodded. "Except hers ended in this huge wicked claw," she agreed. Vampires wore the coolest clothes and the best jewelry. At least the ones that came to the theater as Joseph's special guests did.
