More hand shaking. It seemed he would have to get over the awkward of this as well. But then there was that laugh, and he was being pulled in close. "Thank you.." It was murmured, with a dose of slight embarrassment at yet another compliment. The only reason it wasn't worse was because of the simple fact that he actually liked how it made him look. Someone worth so much shine and sparkle, even if it was a little more muted than all that.
As he was being led over to the two women that were close by, Rhys let his thumb run over the antique looking silver ring on his middle finger. He'd broken into Henry's room again to borrow it, using it as a calming instrument. He'd probably forget, at some point, that he was even wearing it, but for now the motions were small and almost unnoticeable.
They were both gorgeous and though they both seemed to be looking him over in an overly excited way, he felt a bit under dressed. He could tell, somehow, that Melissa had been probably chosen for tonight because of who he had picked at the Blue Velvet. The color each woman had chosen complimented them perfectly and he was almost a little speechless over it. He wasn't even going to try to compliment them at this point, the look on his face was probably enough. Why was it that everyone in this world was painfully beautiful in one way or another?
There was a short moment of... something over Joseph not coming with him, but as he stepped away and the ladies linked arms with him, Rhys looked over his shoulder to watch him, just for a moment before letting himself be led away. He had business, it was his place, he had to make sure everything was good to go. But then he was being distracted, his eyebrows going up a little in a show of surprise. "Joseph talked about me?" He wasn't sure why surprise was the emotion but it was there in the forefront. Behind it was some warmer emotion, curling through his chest. "I promise to try. To have as much fun as possible..."
