"No, that's just your childe," he noted wryly. He'd spoken to Mab enough to know where some of her specialties lay but it was a damned good skill to have in his opinion. Kindred would never really expect it. But oh, that comment he'd made. He hadn't really expected anything to come of it but Ariel decided to be slightly more cautious with muttered wishes. At least this one was... Well, no, he couldn't say harmless.
The fact that it wasn't permanent was the largest drawback, in his opinion. Without a word, he sat up, sitting on the edge of the bed with his back to Amadeus. His shoulders were hunched and his fingers dug into the mattress. Clearly, he was thinking and he was silent for a very, very long moment. "Unless it's permanent, no. I don't think I could take having all of that opened up, no matter how curious I am, then having it ripped away and back into... nothing." However, he didn't want Amadeus's work to be in vain. "Besides, better to save it for when it's needed." He was well aware that any enemy of theirs who learned of his disadvantage might try to use it against them.
