Just about four and a half months ago, now. It felt like longer. That was probably because of the just jam packed few months it had been. Time was a funny thing when it didn't really mean anything, anymore.
The Beckoning? That wasn't something he knew about, but it sounded familiar, like something he had glanced over briefly, or something he'd heard about in passing. Maybe he'd look it up later, whenever it was he headed back to his haven. Or, he could ask Amadeus about it. Possibly. That was still something he didn't quite want to do. But not his place? He was hearing something like that a lot lately.
There was a moment of Rhys chewing on the inside corner of his mouth at the rest of it, his hands tangled together in his lap. "Henry didn't abandon me on purpose." There was a force behind his words he didn't mean, his hands tightening together before they relaxed, a slight shake of his head. It was still something none of them could figure out, yet. What had happened to the old man. He'd been able to reach out, make contact, but it had been as if he'd been asleep this whole time.
"Why would I have been... presented to you?" There were still several things he didn't know.
