She smiled at Connie's reassurance. God, she hoped so. She was so tired of trying her best and not making it. And disappointing vampires would probably get her killed. While Chiyu seemed to be walking into this blindly, she was aware this could backfire and she'd be dead. But her life had never gone anywhere. So it was worth the risk to her if it meant succeeding.
She'd turned her head when the other vampire had spoken. Wow, he was even better looking than Connie. She went softly into Connie's lap, draping her arm around his shoulder and curling into him. The possessiveness was thrilling.
She wasn't certain what Connie meant about 'staying out of her head' but she'd been told by other dolls that vampires could totally mind control humans. So maybe that was Julian's thing. Kind of scary. Luckily, Connie had just nixed it and he was clearly the boss around here.
But now she had the strange vampire's name. "Hi Julian," she greeted with a smile. "I'm Chiyu." She was curious what Julian would think she needed to know.
