She listened as he broke down everything that he believed to be wrong. Yes, he had lied. Yes, he had done something stupid (though that wasn't entirely his fault). And there was the incident she'd only heard briefly about. It was no surprise that her sire's Gangrel lover had kept him alive. In her experience, the good ones were heroes without realizing it. Still, there was more to the whole situation than even Rhys seemed to realize.
"It's the lying that's the problem, y'ken," she noted, swinging their hands idly like mother and child off to the park on a sunny weekend. "Tremere have a way to stop frenzy through magic. If you had told him, he could have helped you." She paused for a moment before adding, "If you are pleased you still live, you should send Ariel a thank you note." It hung in the air that if he was not pleased, it didn't matter.
"One question that I have, did your sire ever say why he picked you?" She glared as a woman stared at them in passing but managed to not hiss or show her teeth like a snake. "For example - I was already on my way to being well-versed in magic. I was wasting my potential. So on, so forth."
