WHO: Anastasia Thorne & Leo Thayer WHEN: June 1st WHERE: The Blue Velvet WHAT: Having that drink and getting to know each other. WARNINGS: TBD but currently none
Anastasia Thorne was perhaps not the best Kindred in New York to go to when it came to matters of humanity. More often than not she preferred to forget matters in regards to her life as a human and considering hanging on to her humanity an unwelcome remember of such things. It probably didn't help that one of the memories she did allow herself to hang on to from that life was a moment when she was drenched in the blood of her husband after she had killed him. Some would call that a first slip in a loss of humanity before she was even Embraced. Anastasia would call it the trustest moment of the human condition. Kill or be killed. It just so happened that it was how the Kindred survived as well.
While she may not be the best one to go to in matters concerning keeping or regaining one's humanity, she was one to go to when it came to matters of protending to have humanity. She was good at covering up the monster underneath with pretty petals and pretending that she didn't just see the kine around her as cattle and pets to be tossed aside on a whim. After all, wasn't that the Masquerade? Putting on a mask so that they didn't know you were considering ripping their throats out and bathing in their blood. She played queen among them in the Blue Velvet, none of them ever the wiser unless she choose so.
Tonight, however, Anastasia didn't wish to surround herself with the kine and Kindred who inhibited her club. Tonight she'd settle for just the company of one. Instead of the crowd and the noise of the club below, she had decided upon the setting room of her quarters and office on the top floor of the club. She was already pouring two glasses of some of her finest blood when she heard the door open. Dressed in a white silk dress, her pale hair down, and mixed with the white paleness of her skin, Anastasia looked like a moon touched goddess as she turned around to greet Leo. "I hope that you don't mind that I opted to have that drink up here away from the noise of the club," her words holding a faint Russian accent that may have been thicker once but had faded with time.
