Rook wasn't exactly sure what was going on. He hadn't seen what had happened on the network. He had been busy with other—things. Plus they did good to get him to use a cellphone at times, let alone use it to go online and see what was happening. Which was probably just as well because Rook might have gone hunting done the Kindred in question.
"Not much of a need to look the other way when there'd be nothing left to find anyway," Rook pointed out as he curled his fingers around Mab's. It wasn't so much a threat as it was a simple statement. Anyone who dared to threaten James or Mab—even if Mab was fully able to handle herself—wouldn't be around for long and there'd be no trace they ever existed in the first place.
