"All you had to do was ask," he told Rhys with an arch of his eyebrow. He hadn't had to wait until he was too desperate for blood and needed to be taken out. Ariel was always around somewhere. Moving through the city had become second nature already and he had found so many odd and almost secret pathways to get where he needed to go. The underground places got him where he needed to go faster than the roads.
But they were inside and the kine noticed them whether they realized it or not. He draped an arm across Rhys's shoulders, gently pulling him along and into the thick of it. Once a good viewing spot was found, he moved away from the baby Tremere, only adding briefly, "Seriously, pay attention. It'll be hard. I know what the gnawing is like." But then he was being pulled away by Amadeus into the thick of it and he didn't resist, pressing in close to his lover but his eyes always looking, scanning. The wolf wanted someone without a pack, someone who wouldn't necessarily be noticed by the other lesser 'predators' around them.
Amadeus was damned distracting though which was always an issue when they went out hunting together - making sure everyone knew that this one was his while also trying to lure in the unsuspecting victim. Two instincts at war with each other. Oh, he got to pick? Well, he supposed it was his turn. The corners of his lips twitched as he shifted position, teasing the short hairs on the back of his lover's neck with a twist of his fingers. But his eyes were considering the options - a smorgasbord of them.
"Dark ponytail. Frilly dress. Three-o'clock," he suggested. The woman was watching them like she was composing the fanfic right there in her head. Given half the chance, she might have taken off to a booth to start writing right then and there. Or maybe she was an artist getting inspiration. It didn't really matter one way or another. The fact was she appeared to be generally alone but also very interested. And Ariel was casually moving them in that direction instead.
