Ash was right. They really did need to stop before they both got swallowed up by the building force of just pure want between them. It couldn't go any further than this between them. Not yet. Rook knew what would happen if they did and in the end it wouldn't be fair to either of them. As much as he was surprised by his strong reaction to Ash, he still knew himself, still knew why they needed to wait.
Rook pressed his forehead against Ash's as he tried to collect himself. That almost whisper of the Toreador caused the Gangrel to coo and click back at him before he gave a nod. "You're right. And that's probably a good idea." Just as Ash's voice has gotten softer, Rook's had deepened, that light accent he carried having gotten thicker as well.
