He managed to suppress his laughter at being essentially 'wiffled' like any other natural canine might. His arms went around the wolf's neck but they were loose, non-threatening. The wolf could escape at any point should he so choose. And he kept murmuring soft words to coax Rook back into human form until he felt the wolf's body begin to change.
Then there were arms surrounding Ash and a face hidden against him. He held Rook, lightly running fingers through his feather-like hair, still murmuring sweetly. "There you are. I was not expecting to see you again so soon - let alone as a protector," Ash turned his head slightly, kissing Rook's cheek lightly.
