The Toreador were known for getting bored with their childer and then moving on to the next. If one could so easily abandoned their childe then a lover would be nothing. He and Mab had been together for at least a century now and he couldn't imagine them parting ways and they were neither of the same blood or lovers in that sense.
Which was why her next statement had him looking at her with a blank face. Or it could have been annoyed. Sometimes it was hard to tell with his face. "What? I can't bring him back to the nest? How much of a mess can a Toreador make?" Though seeing what Ash lived in now, Rook doubted very much that he'd want to move in with them anyway. The thought made Rook frown.
