When he began to worry that he was taking too much, that he was being greedy, Ariel pulled away. It was enough to get him through the rest of the night for healing and not wake up ready to eat the first thing that moved and never stop. So he pulled away after a long moment and licked the wounds closed, making sure he got every bit of broken skin until it was perfect all over again.
Then he kissed the inside of Amadeus's wrist, frowning to himself.
