Read out loud from human flesh books? Where there those types in the library? A chill went down Rhys' spine at the very thought and he had a moment where he wanted to just leave the room to make tracks to the library to see if there was any possibility of that being a thing. He didn't think so, but he also didn't know Henry as well as he could, especially with the bond they now shared. But... There was a flash of embarrassment on the younger man's face as he realized he was being messed around with, a joke. But a joke in a serious moment? Maybe Amadeus wasn't as scary as he was made out to be. Was he being nice?
Shaking out of that thought pattern, he made sure to pay attention to what he was saying now, knowing he would remember the name mentioned. His face was more serious? He guessed he would just have to wait and see what that even meant. He would ask, sure, but he didn't really ever want to speak again at this rate. This night had brought him back to being that little kid in a room full of his father's friends making fun of the little book worm. The paper he had taken a moment ago felt a little more weighted in his hand, something of importance. He'd reach out when he needed to, but until then, he would probably just stay in the Haven and hide himself away from anymore attention.
"I know how to hide!" The response was immediate and a phantom burning hit his face at the force behind his words. He still had some bite, even as a little mouse. But again, he realized he was being played with. Eyes hit the floor and he gave a slight nod, hiding his face once more. "Good night... Sir." Why couldn't he just keep quite and still? Geeze. Henry would be embarrassed of him, for sure.
