Hands dropped back to his sides again, being stuffed into the pockets of his pants as he listened. Rhys was beginning to think that Henry hadn't been teaching him as fast as he could have, but they tended to get distracted in this book or another. It didn't help that the younger Tremere that lived here asked a million questions once he got going. Maybe if he had just stayed quiet a lot more, he would know more? He knew the meanings behind the Beast and his Hunger and made sure to look for all the warning signs that something might be wrong. Staying here, he didn't have to worry to much about being out in the world if something happened but - blood delivery? It made sense.
If he wanted to leave? Most people would want to leave a place they lived once in awhile but being as introverted as he was, Rhys didn't mind too much staying put. Especially if he had such horrible foot in mouth disease. The way it sounded from Amadeus was as if he wasn't allowed to leave on his own after this. But if Henry was in danger... his Haven was probably the only place he was safe. What if he wasn't in danger anymore? It wasn't something he wanted to dwell on, no, but his mind did wander from time to time, no matter how hard he tried to keep himself focused elsewhere. Unable to locate Henry. He should have read that letter, even after his sire's insistence that he didn't. It wasn't like him to be disobedient but how could he have foreseen the need for him to be?
"I-I'll stay here." Not like there was much outside for him to begin with. Everything he needed was right here, but, suddenly, he felt slightly lonely. Strange. He wanted to apologize again, but he remembered how that had gone before. "Um... Thank you, for taking care of me." It seemed like the right thing to say, mostly, instead of apologize for having to, to thank him for doing so. "I'll go through the rest of the library."
