Dropping his hand, Amadeus stepped back as he had seen enough. Even if he was inclined towards destroying the childe there was little sense in doing so right now until they knew for sure that Henry was well and truly gone. He may show back up yet or they may find him alive, and it would look bad if they had just decided to off his little bird in the meantime. Amadeus knew that there were other sheriffs who wouldn't want to be bothered and wouldn't think twice about it but luckily for Rhys, Amadeus was not the sort.
"You'd be fine a day or two alone, but for this long is a different story. You're too newly turned and there's too much that you need to learn." He didn't even ask if Rhys wanted to learn. If he had agreed to be Embraced as a Tremere then it meant that he was. "There's not only the basics of being a vampire and how the Camarilla works but to start you tutorage on blood sorcery as well."
It had been—a while for certain since Amadeus had to school anyone in the use of the arts. It wasn't an idea that currently thrilled him yet here they were. He could tutor the fledgling or he could hand him over to the Chantry for Sethius to assign him to someone. Of course, then whenever Amadeus wanted access to him he'd have to deal with getting past Sethius and that was not something that appealed to Amadeus at all. "Are you at least feeding as you should be?" He could see the weariness in the younger vampire's face.
