Ariel & Felix
Oh yeah, this one was definitely a kid. Didn't matter that his body was grown - he was still a child inside. It seemed to be an affliction amongst modern people. When he was Felix's age, you knew what you were meant to do. Your path was all laid out. Now it was living off your parents because you couldn't survive otherwise... "Or you would have been, mm, alive? If you'd gone further. But live long enough, it won't matter anymore. You'll go because there's nothing else to do." Was that a hint of bitterness in his voice? Just a smidge.
The bartender returned placing down two full glasses - one for Ariel and one for Felix, just so he wouldn't have to come back any time soon. Ariel lifted his, sniffing lightly before taking a sip. Acceptable. He grinned broadly at Felix, teeth on full display as he chuckled, "Surely the suggestion isn't that some of these Kindred are no better than animals despite their aires and graces?" And yes, he had said that loud enough to be heard.
