Getting to hang out with their friends who were in the city now was one of Kurt's favorite things. He had longed to be in New York with the people he loved most and he soaked it up when it happened so when Rachel said that they were having an ice cream social, how could he say no? They had spent the morning getting everything that they needed and setting up their dessert bar just right on their checkerboard table cloth. He didn't find men's 50s fashions nearly as exciting as the women's, but he managed to throw something together without having to wear some horrible bowling shirt or wanna be gangster outfit.
He gave Rachel a glance when she headed out of the bedroom as he carried a bowl of bright red maraschino cherries to the table and set them perfectly between some sprinkles bowls. "Those waves look amazing with that dress." he praised again with a smile. He pressed his hands to his hips and look a glance around at their set up. "I think we are finally set." he said with a firm nod before making his way over to the portable record player he had snagged from Blaine and set up by the tv, brushing off the case a little. "It's too bad Quinn has school. We'll have to do this again for her."
