"I can understand that, nobody likes to think about hurting someone they care about, and the fact that even thinking it is difficult just reiterates my point," she assured him as she stood up straight from her crouched positon beside his seat.
"You have nothing to thank me for," she smiled, "sometimes you need to talk to someone who is not too involved, who doesn't know you so has no pre-judgements," she said, because she knew that it could be hard to talk to people sometimes, especially when they knew you and had this decision in their mind about who you were.
"And we can talk any time you want," she promised him, "what are friends for? And as far as i'm concerned, we are friends now," she told him, leaning in to give him a proper hug, she figured he needed it.
