"I get that," she nodded, "But it wasn't," she said simply. "Because opening up hasn't just brought you to them, it also brought you friends, and those are imporrant too," she pointed out, because that was something she;d never had before. For a long time, she'd been so in her own head, focused on her own success that people didn't want to know her. She'd been unhappy, her smile fake, she was single now but had amazing friends. That made her happy.
"And I know you don't mean for it to happen, I don't think anyone ever does in a situation like that. I just don't want any of you getting more hurt than is neccessary," she said honestly. "Just talking to you tonight, I can tell that you are a really good guy, if you weren't, you wouldn't be so torn up. So one thing I want you to remind yourself of is that."
