Who: Elizabeth, open
When: Mid afternoon
Where: Central Park
What: Siri's afternoon walk.
This was futile, Elizabeth thought as she gazed at yet another group of teenagers. Even if the girl was there, there was no way Elizabeth would recognise her. Then again, maybe the girl would recognise Siri... there was always that.
Elizabeth had decided to bring Siri out for her walk this afternoon. They both needed the exercise and fresh air, so she'd left a note for Aric and now here she was.
She looked down at Siri when the dog finally returned carrying the ball that Elizabeth had just thrown for her. "What do you think, then, eh?" she asked the dog. "Is she here? You've met her, I know. I haven't got a bloody clue, but I'd love to find her just to cheer your dad up."
Siri wasn't a whole lot of help. She dropped the ball at Elizabeth's feet, then hunkered down on her front legs, backside in the air and tail wagging enough that Elizabeth could feel the breeze from it. She smiled and bent down to pick up the ball. Siri barked in delight.
"Go on then, selfish bitch," Elizabeth laughed. She threw the ball and turned towards a free seat as the dog ran off to retrieve her toy.
