Kastra had spent the majority of the hour pacing. She couldn't stop. The idle quality of her time at home, coupled with the anticipation for the meeting she would soon have with her father, had left her restless and agitated. It was getting late. She had debated taking a nap prior to meeting with her father, in an effort to prevent herself from focusing too deeply on her pending meeting, but had decided against it. Had she tried, she probably would not have been able to still her mind long enough to actually rest.
It would be the first time she'd meet with her father alone since she had returned home for recess, and as she was leaving the next day, she wouldn't get another chance. She was unsure of how he would respond to her performance, how he would take her progress within the resistance - would he expect more from her? Had she been convincing? What did her papa have to say behind closed doors? Kastra was filled with questions.
There was also the matter of Sirius Black, which had weighed heavily on her mind since she had found out about it. She had plans for Sirius; loud-mouthed and foolish as he was, she could have used those qualities to round up students who were either currently involved or planning to be involved in the resistance. He could have gained students' trust a lot easier than she could, with her previous affiliations. And yet her father had arrested him, had undone that progress and had put her at risk of losing trust. She had been furious when she found out; though she of course was forced to remain silent on the matter, given their pretense. Her anger had calmed some, in part due to the fact that Sirius seemed to have at least a little trust in her, but it did make her wonder about the fate of her fellow resistors.
The matter that left her most uneasy, however, was her father's extremely convincing display of rage. It made Kastra slightly nervous to consider meeting with him. She was concerned that maybe he truly was angry with her. It may have been irrational, but she could not deny the need for the reassurance that he was not planning on unleashing any of that anger upon her.
With a sigh, she rounded her bedroom yet again, awaiting his arrival.
