Sirius' grin grew both at the press of Remus' lips and the way he reached up to tuck the strand of his hair behind his ear. It did falter a little at his question though. He had a dozen witty replies he could give, but the one that came out was the more serious one. "Promise me you won't become like them." Sirius said then, cupping Remus' face in his hand to maintain eye contact. "Promise me you won't just become another member of the NAA, another nameless, faceless crony of Grindelwald's." he said sternly, "Stay you." he insisted, squeezing him between his legs. The moment was terribly intimate. The room was probably the most private they had ever been in before. The closed shutters, the locked door, the low light, the silence surrounding them--it all added to it. Sirius was hyper aware of every inch of himself that was touching Remus. He could feel the fabric of the sheets and smell Remus' sweat intermingled with his. His thumb brushed over his cheek as he willed Remus to give him the answer he wanted to hear. Sirius feared it was too late to entirely withdraw from the NAA, but Remus was still Remus. He didn't have to lose him too.
