Remus looked at the other man, wanting to both slap Sirius and yell at him, but also knowing the next words out of his mouth would probably piss Sirius off just as much. “I was inducted today. With the other wolves. They kept talking about…how I wouldn’t mind biting people so much after I got used to it,” he said, his voice almost shaking as he closed his eyes and tried not to loose it. He’d only been around them that morning and during the lunch for all the new wolves, and both times had been terrifying and horrible for him. The first had been the issue of body odor and being watched by Gellert the whole time, but the second had included conversation.
He looked at Sirius, blinking slowly as he kept talking. “They said that at one point you just loose yourself in the monster, that when you do you can stop pretending to be human. That after a few times, you begin to forget about manners and learning, and that I was a traitor to them because I was in the medical school and went to Hogwarts. But that I would learn, and that it was my parents fault for…taming me,” he said, the breaths he took harsh in his chest as he looked down, at Sirius’s feet instead of his face.
