It was the sound of Sirius more than anything that brought Remus out of his slumber. He started as he suddenly woke up, his reaction not appropriate at all for the tone of voice that had been used, and his eyes stared at the man before him, wild and terrified, before he realized that it had all been a dream.
There was a moment of ringing of silence before Remus's chest involuntarily heaved, and he clapped his free hand to his mouth, eyes wide as he forced his gag reflex back. It was hard to look at Sirius when had just been convinced he had just eaten the man; the images from his dream were still strong in his mind, too strong, and he closed his eyes as he willed himself to calm down.
