Characters: Caradoc Dearborn and Orion Black (an appearance by Albus Dumbledore) Date: October 12, 1999 - Early evening Location: Llanelli, Wales Rating: TBD Summary: Unable to deal with things at home for the moment, Orion flees to Caradoc's. Status: Complete
Orion had left Grimmauld Place just before sunset, carrying with him an overnight bag and some treats for Carina. He looked sad and downtrodden, the locket still around his neck and not aiding at all in his mood. It took him longer than usual to reach Caradoc's house in Llanelli, and he took his time wondering down the street towards the front door. He felt old today, much older than just eighteen, and he couldn't believe how tired he still felt.
Sleep had been hard to come by since they'd gone into the cave, just two days ago now which was so hard to believe, and what sleep he did manage came in the form of potions that Remus gave to him. When he wasn't sleeping fitfully he was hiding, away from Harry and whatever inevitable horrid awkwardness would arise from their meeting in the hallway or in the sitting rooms. He felt vulnerable and let down, and thus he spent a great amount of time the day before in his bedroom or up in the attic with Kreacher.
Today, however, he had decided he'd had enough. The tension was horrible, as was listening to Regulus still have coughing fits and mumbling in his own sleep. So after packing up some clothes and a few vials of that sleeping drought he'd left, bound for the house that he now stood in front of. He knew that Remus had owled Doc, he'd told the boy he would, so he wasn't afraid of being turned away. He was more afraid of his own embarrassment, but that did not stop him in the end from knocking on the door.
