Who: Heath Barbary and Open! What: Having a round! Where: The Leaky When: Friday, January 3, evening. Rating: TBD
Even famous people needed to go out for a pint or two now and again. Even if Heath still thought that the word "famous" was a bit odd to him. He knew that the band had fans, and he loved them dearly, but it still almost took him by surprise when people stopped him on the street and started gushing about how awesome the Weird Sisters were. Don't get him wrong, he enjoyed it and never once thought about saying no to a signature, or chatting with someone for a bit. Partly because he really did enjoy it, and partly because he knew that one bad word traveled faster than one good one. Slightly calculated, he knew that, but at least he could have fun with it.
Like tonight for example. He'd spent pretty much the last twenty-four hours on a writing tear and apparently needed to 'get out for some fresh air' or so Myron had insisted when he found Heath sitting on the floor surrounded by sheet music and empty soda bottles all around him. They weren't due back into the studio to finish recording for another two weeks, and in all honesty, Heath had been planning on taking it easy. Go to a couple of quidditch matches, spend time with his sister and her little ones, maybe even see if Abigail was doing anything. But then the 'bug' hit him and the next thing he knew he'd written four songs with lyrics, another two without, and had been working on the drum line for another one when Myron had just decided to pop over for a little bit.
So, in true Heath fashion he took it in stride. He showered, changed, and headed out to his old stomping grounds. The Leaky held a lot of memories for him, partly because this was one of the places that the Sisters had started to play, but because Tom had given him his first job out of Hogwarts. He told himself that he wasn't going to sit there and write music on napkins all night, but about an hour in...it was starting to happen already. He'd sat himself at the bar so that if anyone felt like sitting next to him and having a chat, Heath would totally be willing. But, it was still early yet in the evening, and right now for a Friday, it was sort of...dull. Maybe it had something to do with Diagon not letting you out into the muggle world yesterday, or so he'd vaguely heard something about that on the wireless. He didn't know. It didn't really bother him all that much right now. Things happened, for anyone knew it was just a glitch or something. Or so he was pretending right now as he bothered the tall bartender for a pen as he started to hum to himself as he started 'writing' on a napkin. Before he knew it he was humming louder and even tapping the pen a bit on the bar and started to move his arms a bit more like he was playing the drums, though not quite so wildly as it could have been. Then he realized someone was watching him.
"Oh, hey there." he said with a big toothy grin as if he'd been acting totally normal this whole time.
