Who: Jason and Megan What: CODE PURPLE! Waking up with purple skin When: Aug 7 (backdated) Where: Jason's bedroom Status | Rating: Complete | High-ish?
Ever since Jason got his memory back, Megan found it nearly impossible to stay away from him. Then again, it was difficult before. Still, he had managed to woo her twice now, both independently from the other. On the island, he was somehow smooth and charismatic. A side of her that was new in more ways than one. Back home, it had been based off of that charm and interaction from work and getting to know each other over time. Perhaps she would have wondered over time if it had been a friendship forming and not such a strong attachment on his end if it had not been for how hard he worked to get her attention. But, as she told him, the mixture of everything he sparked on the island in three weeks on top of what came to her as she slowly remembered their still growing relationship was what decided her entirely. She was head over heels for him, and it was growing with time. She couldn’t help but smile when she heard his voice or get flustered at his scent so close to her.
In all her dreams, Megan never once thought that it would be possible to find someone who was so attentive to her. There was nothing she could give him that would be worth working this hard for if it was an attempt to use her. She didn’t have anything special about her, but Jason seemed to think so. She had him and his small gestures and subtle looks for two weeks now, and every one made her chest swell more and more. She was not the beautiful princess he had dated before. Megan was much larger than June could ever be, she had nothing close to a perfect body in her mind, and he was not the gorgeous form he had surrounded himself with in the quidditch world. And yet, there they were. It was a night of laying by each other. They had not even been close to crossing the line, but the pair had spent many nights, now, in each others’ arms. An image she never thought she’d wake up to, but now it was a wonderfully common event.
And each morning was the same. His warm breath in her hair. She would roll and find his lips with hers before he got out of bed, stalling more and more as these mornings went on. He would get out of bed and she found herself peeking a look as he stripped off his clothing to his skivs and got dressed. She felt a little bad doing it, and she knew he caught her at least once before because he teased her about blushing, but she couldn’t help it. While no Greek god, Jason was breathtaking to her. He was slight, yes, and not rippling, but there was something about him... just him that made her so incapable of looking away.
The same had to be said about this morning. Nothing felt weird immediately. His hand found its way to the slight bit of bare skin on her waist and his face nuzzled in her mane of hair. Megan could feel his breathing change as he woke up, too. She had been awake a bit longer than he. That was often the case, as she simply loved the feeling of his arm around her. When she felt him nuzzling and stirring to get up, she rolled to face him with her eyes still closed. Both put off moving from the bed or each other a few moments longer than the day before and she grinned into the kisses before finally reminding them Lindy needed to get walked. She felt Jason move and her eye opened, though she was almost certain he was a different color than usual, but her skin looked almost the same, if not a little lighter and almost like marker. Figuring her mind was trying to wake up, Megan looked back over at him as his shirt came off and she felt her heartbeat pick up and her face flush. He was so perfect. Her legs repositioned themselves a few times awkwardly as she felt her heart race a bit more and involuntarily bit down on her lip. She was such a horrible girlfriend. She shifted a little to look him over again, not realizing her own skin was turning a progressively deeper shade of purple.
*********
As much as Jason hated losing his memory, and as much frustration as it brought him, one really good thing did come of it. He had found Megan again. And tried to win her over for a second time. At the time he hadn’t really thought much of pursuing her other than it was something that he really wanted. Since meeting her at the welcoming party, it’s all he really wanted to do. Jason enjoyed spending time with her and making little moves, like writing her that note, was both scary but thrilling at the same time. But it didn’t come from a place of self doubt like it had back home. Not that he didn’t realize that until he’d gotten his memories back, but it felt nice to know that he was capable of courting someone successfully. And it wasn’t just “someone”, it was Megan. Someone who he was already dating, and was quite happy with that fact. He’d been given two different situations and he’d picked the same girl both times. That had to be a positive sign in his book. Gave him hope that it hadn’t been just a summer fling, or that she’d taken pity on him and it was all a pity date. Though, to be fair, he hadn’t really thought that from the beginning. Jason was just glad to have that extra reassurance that she did really care for him.
Jason had always been careful not to rush things, he was just that kind of guy. So falling asleep with her as much as he could since he’d gotten his memory back was perfect for him. He liked being able to fall asleep next to her, feel her head on his chest and just hold her as he drifted off. It was relaxing, peaceful, and for once, got his mind to shut off long enough so he could get some real rest. He wondered if she knew the effect that she had on him like that. Even if she didn’t, he was very glad for it and was determined to show her how much she meant to him. He hated getting out of bed in the morning and was finding it harder and harder to do so. He got the feeling that he was just going to have to start setting the alarm earlier so he’d still get out of bed on time before too much longer. Not that he was complaining, but, it just was how it was. Jason smiled at her for a little while and savored the taste of her lips for a little bit before dragging himself out of bed. He was still somewhat asleep, not having any caffeine in his system yet, he rubbed some sleep out of his eyes before he started to change.
He’d never liked showing too much skin in front of people, anyone really. But he was getting used to it, and he didn’t mind so much now if Megan peaked at him getting dressed in the morning. It made him feel awesome, and even attractive. Jason never really thought he was terribly ugly, but he didn’t exactly think of himself as anything terribly special either. So, to have someone who wanted to look at him...it made quite the difference. He looked over a bit and saw her sitting like that and he couldn’t help but push down some urges right away, not really noticing that this skin color was shifting a bit from tan to a lighter purple. He was only focused on her. He smiled warmly. “You’re really quite beautiful.” he said with a small grin on his face...and then he started to notice that she was starting to turn purple. “...Megan...you okay love?” he said in a typical even tone, not trying to raise alarm.

Megan had no idea she was poised in a suggestive way. To her, she was watching him. Her narrowed eyes and bit lip were involuntary. He made her feel things she had never experienced before, and it was hard to really put a finger on what it all meant. Well, that was not true. She had a good understanding of what it meant, she simply had no idea how to react on it. He had always been very gentleman-like with their interactions. Even when they got into heated moments with their lips locked, it was never taken too far. His hands never reached for places she had not guided them, and really she remained untouched. It was both unsettling that he was not trying for more and unbelievably attractive that he was respecting her so much. But that voice borne from years of cruelty from her peers made her wonder if he was simply not that attracted to her. Clearly, he was mentally and that would be enough for her. but maybe Jason was not sexually attracted to her. She would understand and accept it, even if it hurt. She wanted him happy, and really she could live without out that side of the relationship if he was not into it. She had heard the way people talked about him. They said, always said, he was like a robot, even if she never felt that way.
At least, he never looked at her like one. She always saw so much hidden emotion in those eyes. She could feel everything he was trying to say with his touch. Maybe she just took the time to get to know him when they were simply friends. And the few times they had kissed, it felt like there was a lot more than the stand-offish personality people commented on frequently. Indeed, that smile on his face as he turned and looked her over was not one that was void of emotion. She blushes as he told her she looked beautiful and her skin tone only shifted to a deeper shade. She smiled shyly, still, and looked down at the sheets when he asked if she was okay. Her head snapped up and her brows furrowed in confusion as her skin changed almost instantly to orange. Her mouth opened slightly and her head tilted. “I believe so, yes?” she asked, wondering if maybe she looked ill, or if she was now subject to more of the insanity of the island. She looked down at her own hands to see what he could be looking at and saw her shade. She, indeed, looked rather like the shade of the Chuddley Cannons’ robes and she let out a small gasp before her skin tone changed once more to white.
“Oh, Merlin, Jason what is it now,” she asked almost exasperated and looked back up at him, her skin tone changing to a light orange. “Why do I keep changing color?” She asked and looked up, not aware that her tank top had shifted down, showing more of her chest than normal. “And why have you not? You’re just getting… more purple!” Megan moved out from under the sheets to stand next to him, ignoring the fact that she had never been this close to him in this little attire before out of the bed. She instead started looking him over, the worry clear on her face as her heart pounded in her ear. “You don’t seem ill, and I feel fine…” She let out a small, annoyed sigh and began muttering in French as she looked him over, running her hand through his hand before holding the bridge of her nose to calm down. She could feel the flare of frustration she usually only felt in the courtroom surging through her and she looked him back over. Her fingertips ran lightly down his chest before she remembered that was a purple, bare chest she was touching. And the light orange faded into an almost lilac color as the purple returned.

The last thing he wanted to do was create a sense of a panic. It was that healer instinct of his that automatically took over. He honestly tried to keep his work life and his personal life separate, by way of just being able to maintain his own sanity. People often forgot that he’d even started out as a Medi-Wizard so he had those gut reactions on top of just being a normal healer. Being able to force yourself to be calm in situations of stress had been a valuable skill that he’d learned from those years. Granted, he had a bit of a leg up on that, given how he’d grown up. But that was where he had fine tuned it. And right now, he was exceedingly grateful for it as he watched his girlfriend get out of bed and start to change colors like a mood ring. At the same time, he didn’t quite realize that his own skin was shifting from purple into orange as his mind started to mull over everything that was happening in front of him. Just about the time his brain kicked into gear to start asking questions about how she felt, was about the same time she’d gotten out of bed.
And it became very hard not to stare at the vision before him. Very hard, indeed. He cleared his throat before he really began to speak again. Thinking this wasn’t totally out of the ordinary for him, sometimes in the morning he just did that. But this time was another matter entirely. He made certain that he raised his gaze quickly so not be be caught staring at that chest of hers, because that would just be rude...as wonderful as a greeting as it was at the moment, and he did not wish to make her uncomfortable. But have mercy, he’d gone from bright orange to purple back in a heart beat. “I, uh,” he said really trying to kick his logical brain into gear. “I wish I knew, love, but I haven’t the foggiest.” he said and bit down on the inside of his cheek when she touched his chest. Yep. Jason the robot Bradley was seriously turned on right now, and he really wished he’d been able to get his real pants on instead of the pajama pants he slept in. But no, he just had to take his shirt off first, didn’t he?
“Wait a tic...” he said trying really hard not to be having the thoughts he was having right now (and also really failing at them.). “you just shifted in color...what were you thinking just then?” he wondered with a small warm smile trying to both keep the conversation away from his own thoughts right now, but also to try and provide both answers and comfort...he just wanted to wrap his arms around her and drag her back into bed. But, he was fairly sure that right now, that was the last thing on her mind. Since she was good and sweet and wasn’t some pervy boy like Jason was being right now.

Megan didn’t even notice that Jason was looking anywhere other than her face, and if she had the woman would have assumed he was checking her skin tone, as it was changing. He was a healer, and she knew that it was a normal reaction for him to check the health of someone, especially if they mean a lot to him. Instead, she was more worried about how he was, as he had also begun to change colours, similar ones to her. Her mis was racing and she touched involuntarily, looking for comfort. She had an enjoyment of how his touch calmed her. She liked being close to him, especially as life was getting weirder on the island. She didn’t reply when he told her he had no idea what was going on either-mostly because there was really nothing to say. Neither of them had any clue, so there was no need to point it out for him. Instead, her mind froze the moment she felt his skin under her fingertips. Her body was instantly turning purple at the thought of how, even now in the confusion, she wanted nothing more than to enjoy the warmth of his body and their closeness.
His comment, however, was followed by her looking down and trying to not look in his eyes out of embarrassment. Only to notice an apparent and distinct reaction… to her? Oh, goodness, her head snapped back up to his eyes as her skin just turned more red and her cheeks a strange burgundy from blushing. His question remained unanswered as she tried to find a way to say what she had been thinking of. Not only was it just awkward to say out loud, but she couldn’t focus enough on the words. She knew what her mind was focusing on, and she felt so horrible for having to fight herself from looking back down. “I-” she started in a very weak voice before moving her hand from his chest a little before her arm reached forward again to touch his arm. “Uhm, I got a little distracted…” She tried again before pausing and sighing and biting her lip and turning more white than purple as she got nervous about saying it out loud. “We’ve never been. I mean, we’ve never been this-” she finally coughed. “I find you very attractive and I couldn’t focus for a moment on anything but that,” she finally told him in a voice barely above a whisper.

Think unsexy thoughts, think unsexy thoughts, think unsexy thoughts. Jason’s brain willed him to try and calm himself down. But then her hand would shift and all he could think about was how warm her touch was, and then how warm her arm would be, and just how warm she would be pressed next to him and then just how delicious those lips would taste. Damnit, you’re supposed to be a bloody robot, Jason. his mind scolded him, but Jason was doing his best to shove that little voice in the back of his head at the moment. Especially, when she started to speak again. Yeah, she wasn’t the only one a little distracted at the moment, and he was trying very hard to conceal the fact that his thoughts were being shown by a section of his anatomy that he would rather just not join the conversation at this exact moment. Or so he thought for a brief moment. Because at first he thought maybe he was just really making her that uncomfortable. That, yeah, okay, she found him attractive, but she didn’t really want to go to fast or too far. And Jason was always mindful about that. He respected her, and he just didn’t want her to think that he was in it to get laid or anything. That was one of the very last things he wanted.
But then she started to explain and she started to shift colors again, and his mind started to race and act at least a little normal again. It was the damn logical side of his brain that he couldn’t alway shut off for very long. But then he started to listen, really listen, to what she was saying. And not just because she was saying it quietly. No, the content of her words shocked him, in a way that delighted him. He gave a slightly embarrassed smile and looked down at his crotch for a moment and sure enough, just as it felt, hard as a freaking rock right now. Well, this had to be a good sign right? He wasn’t about to push things too far, but it was at least clear that she turned him the hell on, and judging the fact that he was still purple, and she had been a moment ago, he was guessing that he had at least that piece figured out. He chuckled softly and cupped her face in both of his hands, and lightly brushed one thumb against her cheek. “I don’t mind you getting a little distracted by that.” he said warmly before leaning down a bit and kissing her. Though, not so sweetly as he normally would have. It was still on the softer, but there was more...desire behind it. Like he needed to know just that second exactly what her lips tasted like, and usually felt like when they were snogging a little heavier for a while. But it felt really good. More than good. Amazing. Brilliant. She had to know how much he desired her...right?

The mere idea of her effect on him made Megan flustered. She had seen it even as she tried to pretend that was not the case. And his skin was still a deep purple, but considering what she noticed and how she felt, it meant they both had a similar feeling. It was such an alien thing for her to have such a strong feeling. But he was not saying anything right away. Maybe he didn’t want to act on it? Did he think she wasn’t being honest about it? Could he not tell what she was thinking? It was hard for her to explain what she was feeling. And even as the words came out, it felt like they were not really making sense. Or that he was not going to even hear her. Instead of continuing, she watched him look down at… himself and then look back up at her with a shy smile she had never really seen before. It was so handsome. And she swallowed hard, unsure of what he was going to say or do. Instead, she searched his eyes, which were so good at concealing emotion, for any hint of truth or reality.
But his hands cupped her face gently and her head nuzzled into his hand and against his thumb. She loved how his hands felt, but his comment made her face heat up, and had she been her normal tone, it would have made her face a brilliant shade of red. His touch, his voice, his words, she weakly got out, “Yeah?” before his lips were on hers and she gasped in shock and excitement against them. It was such a sudden plunge into what their longest of snogging felt like, and she felt her stomach flip and a tingle between her legs before Megan gave in and pressed herself up against him. She knew in a normal situation, she would be blushing at the feeling of him brushing against her, but at the same time, she was enjoying it. She had caused that, she was attractive to him. Her hands down his hands and pulled herself closer more and finally broke off the kiss and took a deep breath. She looked him over with an awkward but happy smile. Her eyes fluttered over his face as she tried to find her words before giving a small laugh. “Do-” she stopped and looked back almost so subtle it would have been unnoticable. “It’s early, if you…” The words were getting caught in her throat again. “I… we can…”

Jason wasn’t usually the kind to get swept up into emotion like that. He was always so calculated, and calm. But for as long as he could remember, he just had to be that way. Someone had to be the vaguely responsible one to balance out his brothers. But right now all of that seemed to fade away. He was lost totally in the moment, something that was actually rather rare for him. And he seemed to be having more of those moments with her, to which, he honestly was rather happy about. Jason usually hated letting control go, but the way he was kissing her, sliding his hands away from her face as he kissed her, wrapping his arms around her and bringing her in closer. When they finally broke the kiss, it felt like he was coming up for air, panting a little more than he had in a while. She literally took his breath away. Jason rested his forehead against hers, not willing to be that far away from her in that moment.
When she started to speak again, it was a moment he was both hoping for and was a little hesitant about it. Though, given the reaction, and she was bringing it up first. He swallowed hard trying to get his brain working again so the he could actually process what she’s saying. And he didn’t want to respond right away, but he didn’t want to pause either. Before he could let his mind over think it and cause a problem he started to respond by nodding his head. Thankfully, he had a wide grin on his face, his eyes absolutely lighting up. “If you’re absolutely sure.” he said just needing that last little okay. He was sure he knew the answer, he was sure. But at the same time he needed to hear it. Not necessarily right now, but for later. Because he just didn’t want her regretting anything. He’s always wanted to make it special...not exactly like this, but right now, the timing seemed more perfect than anything he could have thought up.

There was little doubt that this was the right time, if only because the skin colour was a little off-putting if she could bother herself to notice. But there was no doubt in her mind that Jason was the man she had been waited for when it came to this moment. No, perhaps she did not have many options and offers. Megan had no experience, really, in dating outside of the man before her, but she knew what it was. She knew that it was much too early to say the words, but she knew what it was that she felt. She used to roll her eyes at those who claimed to be in love after a month, but she understood where it was coming from now. Indeed, looking into his eyes with that smile lighting them up was more proof than she needed that she felt that way.
And when he asked, Megan took a deep breath and nodded. No, that was not enough, but the words were escaping her. She was nervous, and very much so. She had not kept it from his attention that if it ever came to this moment, he would be her first time. It was something she felt would only happen after wedlock for her. Right now, looking at him, she did not mind breaking that. As it stood, she was certain he was the man she wanted to experience it all with. So she took another deep breath and tried to contain her smile when she replied, “Yes, I am very sure.” Her hand left its plane on his hips to run down his cheek as she smiled again and pressed her lips lightly against his.

As he waited for her reply, Jason couldn’t help but hear his heart beating in his ears as he waited. Maybe it wasn’t just that he was anxious in a good way to hear the reply, or maybe that he was having very difficult time focusing on anything but anticipation at the moment. He was getting to the point where it would be very difficult to stop right now. He could do it, he would find a way to be polite and excuse himself so he could go take a very long and very cold shower while finding a way to make her feel like she hadn’t disappointed him or anything. Jason could probably find a way to make that happen. But he really, really didn’t want to. His sexual side really didn’t come through that often, especially out in public. Since he was a firm believer in keeping everything of this nature behind closed doors and just between the people having it. He was a bit old fashioned that way. And it had worked out well for him so far. He’d never even regretted not having random hook ups like some of the guys he knew, it just wasn’t for him. Bedsides, Jason was not that charismatic to make that happen anyway. But holding his woman in his arms as he waited for her to reply, he couldn’t help but feel lucky anyway. She had similar ideas in her head and he was thankful for that.
But when she said she was sure, that was good enough for him. He didn’t realize that he’d muttered ‘Oh thank God’, in Russian before he bent his knees a little so that he could pick her up and carry her over to the bed as he started to kiss her back. Jason was determined to take it slow and not just rush into it. He was bound and determined to make this the best experience he could for her, focusing more on her needs than his. Because frankly, Jason’s needs were not that hard to figure out right now. Besides, her first time needed to be amazing and not awkward or weird, and he was pretty hell bent on making it amazing as he touched, caressed and kissed every inch of that perfect body, trying to show her exactly how attractive he found her. Unwilling to stop until she was completely satisfied.
