Who: Megan Jones and Jason Bradley What: Date 2 When: Sunday Afternoon Where: Italy (TBD) Status | Rating: Incomplete | Low
Date two. Having one to begin with had been more than Megan ever though possible. At least, not something she thought would have happened with someone like Jason. She had been working with the healer for a while now, but it was always a very professional relationship, if not a bit friendly. He had been with June for most of the time she really had been getting to know him, so she kept her distance and silence. That did not mean she was not finding herself more and more attached to him with every time they got together to hang out. She found herself really missing her coworker in the start of the World Cup, as he had become busy working for the Russian Team. The woman even took a gander by asking him to get tea with her. And again, they met up after a match. It was really that day when she realized that she had become rather attached to the man. He was so charming and intelligent. She was not sure how she felt about all of it at first. Until, of course, Jason had asked her out.
Their first date had been wonderful. It blew her mind how much he paid attention to everything they had talked about while getting drinks in Punta Ala. He took her to Venice for the night and they toured the canals, walked around the city and ate in a small, hidden restaurant. It was a wonderful time to talk and get to know each other even better. The things they did as kids, about their jobs, different ways their jobs affected their lives other than giving them employment. Really, it was wonderful to hear him talk. Megan was not comfortable with who she was, and men had a habit of making her nervous even if it was not their fault. Instead, he made her feel comfortable. Jason never seemed to get tired of conversation with her when they spoke; when they didn't it never felt awkward. He also seemed to have discovered how to make her blush in reaction to some of his comments, because the number of times he did so had almost doubled between drinks and the date. She wasn't complaining. There was something wonderful about the way he made her feel that caused Megan to realize she really wanted to see if this could become something wonderful. He was so handsome and fun. And the way he kissed her hand at the end of the night gave Megan more confidence in herself than she had ever had before. That was entirely why she had surprised herself when she stepped in and placed a gentle kiss on his cheek before backing into her hotel room, blushing and smiling.
At the moment, however, Megan was torn. She had agreed to a second date, but she knew her best mate was very much upset. the United States had been eliminated from the World Cup, even with the last match for them due in a few days. It was hard for her to remember that, yes, she did want to go on this date. Megan knew Jamie was going to act tough and not show the amazing amount of disappointment she felt, at least not with people around. It had taken a lot of promising she was fine and urging before Megan finally left to get ready for the second date. Jamie was right, Megan promised, and she was going to have a lot of fun. Now Megan waited in the lobby of the hotel with a coral sundress on and yet another hat and a book in her hands. She had with her a bag that was magically expanded on the inside, and it hid a cloak in case of bad weather. Her eyes scanned over the pages of the novel she had bought to keep her company during this trip. It was decent, but nothing really stirring or memorable. Megan simply had a hard time not finishing something she started, even just a bad book. When she heard her name in that familiar, soft tone, Megan couldn't help but smile and look up to see Jason standing over her looking lovely. That shy smile returned to her face and she put the bookmark in its spot and tucked the novel away before standing up to greet him.
