Carver didn't mind so much when Anthony looked around a bit, this was new and the whole thing was meant to be kept on the down low. He wasn't quite sure how he was just going to keep everything from Kevin and Cassie since he told them everything, and face it, he was pretty sure they'd be hurt if this was going to be a long term thing. A short thing, a fling, maybe. But, he'd just cross that bridge when he got there. Besides, right now his two closest friends were only a half thought at the moment. Since, he couldn't help but think about how he really liked how Anthony's jaw line looked when he turned his head. There was no denying it, this was the most gorgeous man he'd ever had a real shot with.
When their hands shifted so they were interlocked a little more Carver's smile grew and he let out a little bit of a breathy laugh, feeling a little bit of a thrill in his gut that he hadn't felt in a long while. Short term snog or one night stand, sure, but this...well, it'd been longer than Carver would have liked to admit. He'd just gotten used to the way he lived and he'd been more than okay with it. But this...this was such a nice change of pace. He was about to say something but then he found Anthony's lips on his and the butterflies in his stomach rampaging around. It was short, sweet, and he tried savoring the small moment as much as he could, trying to commit to memory how the other man's lips felt against own.
Once they broke apart Carver was fairly certain he wouldn't stop smiling for a very long while. At least if people asked he could blame it on just being here, in Italy, playing for his home nation. Which, was all true, but now he had another reason. "Don't mention it." he said, thinking how handsome he looked with his cheeks all red like that. "Trust me, pleasures all mine." he said with a look that said he knew he was being a little corny, but at least it was a genuine kind of corny. That and okay the kiss had sort of melted his brain a little bit at the moment. "We'll find a way to get together soon. I mean, people do that stuff all the time." he thought. Maybe. Hell if he really knew. But, it seemed like the right thing to say at the time.
