WHO Erin Troy & Blake Stretton
WHAT Erin is at the Magpies Pitch and is attacked, Blake is there to save the day.
WHERE Just outside Magpie’s pitch
WHEN January 20th
RATING/STATUS Trigger: Stalking Plot | Complete
It was hard to get a good grip on her life as of late. Everything felt like it was a huge mess and she felt as though no matter what she did it was the wrong thing. Even though Demi had basically said she wasn’t made at her, Erin felt like she was. She felt responsible for the fact that Mandy had been attacked or that Conrad, Em and Demi got letters too from the stalker telling them to stay away from her. It felt as though no matter what Erin did as of late she was just causing problems.
Today however she’d come to the Magpies pitch to drop off some papers in person. She needed to get out of the office and she thought she might try and stop in and see her brother and Conrad quickly. Neither of those things happened, heck even Rocco hadn’t been in his office. So she’d just left the papers on his desk with a note telling him what they were for and everything else.
Callen was busy in a meeting and Conrad was with a patient from what she’d been told, so Erin decided that she’d just head back to the office and get back to work. She knew Paddy wouldn’t mind her taking a little time to herself right now, but keeping busy was always a lot better for her than not.
She was heading towards the exit when she saw Blake. “Hey Blake.” Erin said as they both appeared to be going towards the exit. “How are you doing?”

Blake had been lost in thought as he headed out of his office and hadn’t even realized anyone was in the hall with him until he heard Erin’s question. He gave her a friendly smile, stopping to wait for her to catch up with him. “Hey Erin.” He liked the girl and while he didn’t know exactly what was going on, he’d heard some whispers and murmurs - enough to put together that something was going on with Erin that had everybody pretty worried.
“I’m okay. Taking advantage of the fact that everybody seems to be busy with something to slip out of here a little early. What brings you over to Magpies land?” He was pretty sure Tristan wouldn’t care about him taking off early since he didn’t do it very often. And with the World Cup coming up there wasn’t much for him to do here in the office. The World Cup would be a different story though - he’d have a lot to keep him busy as he watched the players from the other countries compete. It was always a good idea to keep an eye out for new talent even if the Magpies weren’t actually looking to get any new players right now. “How are you?”

“With the world cup coming, I’m sure your regular schedule has been changing yeah?” Erin said with a smile. It actually felt good to bring up something that had nothing to do with what was happening to her. Instead it was about something normal. Normal stuff, she was starting to think that her life just wasn’t normal anymore. It never would be would it?
“Oh, you know, just wanted to get out of the office. Thought I’d hand deliver some papers to Rocco.” It was pretty well known that Erin was best friends with Rocco’s sister Emilia, so dropping things off in person wasn’t that far off something she’d do normally.
“I’m okay.” She said forcing out the word okay. The truth was, was that she was a wreck, terrified constantly. Looking over her shoulder every single turn that she got and shaking most of the time, on the inside, she’d managed to calm her actual body down by now.
As they headed towards the door she pushed it open holding it long enough for Blake to follow her. It wasn’t three steps latter that she found herself unable to move. Frozen from some kind of spell she tried to fight but rope wound around her as she let out a scream and started to try and fight her way out of whatever had just happened to her.
What had happened was she had been being watched, followed, eyes never leaving her blond hair and blue eyes. There was no thought of letting someone get in the way this time, no, he wasn’t going to allow that…. He went forward with his plan as if the man in the way wasn’t even there…. And there she was, his sweet Erin ready to be taken to their future. He was dressed in all black, head to toe and emerged from the shadows towards his prize, ready to snatch her and take her.

“It’s starting to change but it hasn’t been too bad yet. I’m sure that’ll change the closer we get to it. What about you? You going to be helping out with anyplace?” Blake asked her. He was trying to keep his mind off the fact that he was still sort of jealous of the fact that he wished he could be out there playing still. Most of the time he was mostly okay with the fact that he couldn’t play anymore but sometimes - like now - it was as hard to accept as it had been the day he’d first been told he’d never play again because of his knee.
“Yeah I can understand that. Normally what drives me over to the Prides pitch - wanting to get out of the office and bug Jason. How’s things going with Conrad anyway?” He was curious that’s all it was. Conrad was his best friend’s younger brother on top of being Blake’s co-worker. He wanted to see him happy and Erin seemed to do that for him from what Blake had seen.
He’d noticed the way she had to force out the word okay and was opening his mouth to ask her if she wanted to talk about it when he’d noticed she’d stopped and his mind couldn’t help but go back to what he’d heard about Mandy’s attack - how she’d been stuck in one spot and then cut. He was looking around to see if he could see anyone there that was out of place when he heard Erin start to scream and he turned his attention back to her, barely catching the movement out of the corner of his eye and when the person came close enough he struck out with his cane - glad that his knee wasn’t acting up to the point of he needed the cane to stay balanced today - and connected with their arm. He wasn’t aiming for any place in particular so much as just trying to break their focus. If he could break their focus, the spells holding Erin in place should be broken and she could go back into the facility and be safe and get help.

Erin couldn’t answer him, she was about to tell him all about how yes she was probably going to help with legal things, and that she was happy with how things were going with Conrad, she really liked him, she just wasn’t sure he felt the same way, or would still, after everything that was happening to her and now to those she cared about. She of course wouldn’t have said that last little bit, but that was just how she felt right now, terrified that she was going to lose everyone she cared about. The last thing she wanted was, was to force anyone into feeling like they had to stay with her because she happened to be being stalked. She didn’t want that. She really, really didn’t want that.
None of that she got to say, instead she’d let out a scream, her hands were tied to horsed by the rope and she couldn’t get to the wand. Erin was trying to break free but it wasn’t working extremely well. Hell, she’d almost gone into auror training instead of becoming a lawyer, right now she really was wishing she’d gone the other path. This was horrible. She watched unable to even say much as the ropes got tighter as Blake tried to fend the guy off. She watched as his cane went straight for the person in black’s legs. She watched as her stalker bent over dropping his wand hand and focus enough to let her break free of the ropes, but whatever his spell had been to stick her to the ground she was still stuck there, but she had her wand now. She fumbled a little bit but pointed it right at the guy and before she could even do anything he was gone.
He was just gone. She watched him appearate before her eyes and stood there for a moment but had enough wherewithal to use a charm she was pretty sure would reverse the affects of being stuck. As she did she looked over at Blake with horror in her eyes. “I am so sorry.” She said trying her best not to show how utterly and totally scared she was. Looking down she saw a piece of paper, with a sketch of a wedding dress on it. She didn’t bend down to touch it, she just looked at it for a moment before looking at Blake.
“I think the Aurors need to see this scene.” She finally said wrapping her arms around herself as she started to shake. No Erin, you will not break, you will not break down. You will be okay. She said to herself as one single tear drifted from her eyes.

Blake was cursing to himself as the man disappeared, wishing he’d somehow been able to do more but he didn’t let himself focus on that for too long - Erin was here and he needed to worry about her right now. Because he could do something to help her. Especially when he saw the look in her eyes. He was relying on his cave a little more than normal as he made his way over to her. “Are you okay?” He was honestly concerned about her, and maybe a little pissed that nobody had thought to give him a heads up about this going on just in case something like this happened. He might have been able to do more if he’d known but he figured there had to be a reason why he didn’t - maybe even something as simple as not having paid enough attention to what was going on or being discussed in meetings. Or the fact that sometimes he didn’t show up at the meetings unless he was specifically told he needed to be there.
He reached out with his free hand and touched her arm lightly when he noticed her starting to shake and cry. “Erin...why don’t you go inside and tell Strat to -” get his ass out here he started to say but then changed it, “contact the Ministry and then come outside to see this. I’ll wait out here. And my office should be unlocked if you want to wait in there or - Conrad might like to see someone who isn’t making him want to scream at them,” he was trying to keep his voice light but his face showed how worried he was. He’d been the one to set Conrad off earlier because he’d flat out refused to agree to let Conrad look at his knee - he’d been going to Jason ever since the injury had first happened and that wasn’t going to change now. It wasn’t that he didn’t think Conrad was good - he just knew Jason better and didn’t have to go over it again and again when it was acting up. He could just tell Jason and his best friend would do what he needed to do as a healer.

Whipping away the single tear she looked over at Blake nodding. "Yeah. I'm okay." Well, she wasn't exactly okay but she was going to be okay and she was safer than she would have been if she'd been alone. "Thank you." Erin said. "If you weren't...." She started but stopped. "Thank you." Erin added. It was true if he hadn't been here she probably... she couldn't let herself think about that. It was too scary, way too scary and she couldn't take that.
Nodding she looked at Blake again knowing that was probably the best idea. Go inside, go find Conrad, or wait in someone's office. She looked back towards where the ropes were on the ground now that had been wrapped around her and back to Blake. "I'll go see if Conrad is here." The last thing she wanted to do right now was be alone. The idea of being alone just sounded terrifying to her and Erin couldn't take that. She could manage a walk to Conrad's office even if she was still really jumpy.
"Um, have Strat come get me when the Auror's get here, they'll need my statement." Erin said trying to be as business and put together as she possibly could, even though she was still shaking. She gave Blake one small smile before turning to head towards going back in and towards Conrad's office.
