Roger could be kind of a smart ass, but it was a well-kept secret that he actually really cared about the people in his life, whether it was the girls he dated or the ones he considered family. Erin was Emilia's best friend and that meant he'd feel automatically protective toward her even if she wasn't a part of the Falcon's staff. Her being here and everything she did to keep the team out of trouble or fix it when she couldn't prevent it just made him like her even more. Erin was good at her job and she was also a good person. Sure, he'd flirt with her and make some comments that probably weren't technically appropriate, but right now he was worried about her. It was shit what she was going through, especially with the rumors about her and Ryan added to it. He didn't really know how to make it better, so for now he just held her and whispered general reassurances.
He'd been filled in on what was happening. Keeping it a secret with breaking and dead birds being delivered just wasn't really possible and honestly he was glad that he knew. At least now, he could keep an eye on her, make sure she was okay. He didn't like having to keep it quiet. Roger could count on one hand the number of secrets he'd kept from Alicia and he didn't like not telling her about this, but for now he was respecting what Erin wanted. She was, after all, the one being stalked.
Roger was just walking by her office when he heard the unmistakable sounds of crying. There was no trace of her typical cheery or flirtatious demeanor as he moved quickly inside to find Erin falling apart. Roger wasted no time in wrapping her arms around her, doing what he could to comfort her when she so obviously needed it. Poor kid.
