Emilia and Mac
"Oh, you didn't have to do that," Emilia tried to protest, even though she was pretty sure it wouldn't really do any good. She felt bad about the person who had gotten up for her, though, even though maybe it was better for them to not be sitting next to Cormac in that mood.
"Hey," she offered him a tentative smile as she slid into the recently vacated seat next to him. Normally, she didn't have trouble thinking of things to talk about, but right now she was a little lost for conversation. Bringing up the match really didn't seem like a good idea, even though she thought he'd flown a good game. She wasn't sorry the Magpies had won, but she did feel badly for Cormac. It had to feel pretty awful to have come so close.
"Thanks," she settled for. This place really was crowded and no matter how he'd gone about it, it had been nice of Cormac to clear a seat off for her.
