There was a part of her that really did love coming to these things. Something about really getting dolled up in something special, and spending the night dancing and socializing the night away. Being able to see people in new lights outside of the uniforms or an office setting. Of course there was also a part of her that still hadn't died yet and she like she was just painting on make up, putting on a face for the judges and worrying about having cords and lyrics memorized for the talent portion part of the show. Lord, she hadn't done one of those in ages and that hadn't left her. At least now she was at a point in her life where she could just laugh it off, and acknowledge two things 1. that her mother was crazy and 2. that those stupid things had taught her a few valuable things. Like how to apply that poker face with a smile, to keep her calm when something goes on, and of course, how to dress properly. She liked to think that she hit the mark between classy-sexy and just plain tartish, so that's what she was going with at the moment.
All with a new cocktail in her hand as she thanked the bartender as she moved off to the side and started sipping as she started to look around the room. Her first instinct was to make sure that her players were behaving themselves, or if they weren't, thinking of ways to cover it up/keep it out of the press/protect them. But then she came back to her senses and realized that she was not on duty, and at the moment...they all were behaving. At least the ones she could spot at the moment. So, she was taking that as a win and put a little bit more of a grin on her face as she sipped a little victory drink. Life was good at the moment, so she was going to savor it. She was debating if she should go drag someone onto the dance floor, but then quickly decided she'd do it later, and she was just enjoying watching everyone for the moment.
Which...was about the same time she spotted Flint coming towards her. Yes. Time to move locations. He was the brother of her best friend, and she'd known him a very long time. And part of her did feel bad that he didn't really have too many friends in his life, but at the same time, she also knew that he brought it on himself too. And right now, she just...didn't want to talk with him. Bailey was nice to him, even before they worked for the same team, but...just the way he'd been lately, she wanted to avoid him. She sort of started skirting around the edges of the room, and ducked into a little side room and hid against the open archway and waited for Marcus to pass and she let out a little bit of a laugh and finally looked that she was not alone in here.
"Sorry, didn't mean to crash the party." she said easily thinking that it was safe now to go out and join the rest of society if said person just wanted to be left alone, after seeking out their own refuge. Or so she thought since they weren't out there with everyone else at the moment.
