One thing was for sure, Alicia had not come home to deal with her sister, she actually came home to get a couple of things and ride one of the horses. She'd managed to have a good low key afternoon after practice, she went for a good long ride on her favorite horse, allowed herself to just forget anything else and just enjoy her day.
The stench of Elle being back in town was in full force, and she just hated every second of how it made her feel and how it hurt Emilia. Emilia deserved better from both of them, but Alicia knew that Elle would never actually give Emilia what she deserved. It never worked that way. Instead she'd use their little sister and find a way to make it all okay. At least that was how Alicia always saw it.
She'd come in from riding and found her father in the kitchen and of course the topic of Elle had come up. Alicia didn't actually keep her thoughts to herself as she probably should. Instead she was honest with her parents about her thoughts, and they never liked it. She was just about to say that having a half mother was worse, but Elle had walked in.
It took all of her strength not to punch her sister in that moment. Alicia didn't think Elle cared at all, about any of them. "Sorry, as much as that sounds great, I have plans with Mac tonight." That was actually not odd, what was odd, was that it wasn't the same friends hanging out nothing matters kind of night. It was, well things were different, she hadn't shared that with her family yet, but she had a feeling Elle already knew, she was just waiting for her sister to bring it up and try and make it into a big deal.
