Who: Lucas Cadwallader and Clover Quiggley What: Date that isn't a date. Where: Paint balling! Warnings: None ATM
There was a small moment when Clover had been utterly stumped as to what to do about this whole date thing. She'd been rather thrown off when Lucas had gotten into that bidding war with that Dirk guy, but she tried not to let it show too much. Or at least not enough where her best mate would notice at least. Sometimes that was easier said than done with Clover, but she'd focused on the positive. Like how they'd won dates with each other and how she was going to get to spend time with her teammate outside of the pitch, and could pretty much justify anything they did as doing it "for charity". To which some of her more ridiculous ideas had just made her laugh at the thought of doing it for charity, or "the kids". After she'd scrapped about a half a dozen ideas and decided to just go for it, she finally settled on a few things that could work out. The idea was to maybe do something they normally wouldn't do.
Of course she loved going to the pubs that were near the pitch with him and throwing darts and laughing. In all honestly, it was one of her favorite ways to relax. But, she didn't know, it just didn't feel quite right to her to do that this time. And since it was in the middle of winter, a lot of her fun ideas were usually limited. But then she remembered a place that her father had taken her and her sister last year during one of his weekends. Granted, she knew that she didn't have to go, given that she was way over age, but her sister hadn't wanted to go alone. And since Clover usually did what her younger sister wanted, Clover had gone paint balling with their father. Clover loved her parents, but they could never be in the same room at the same time, and as much as she loved her father...he was a police officer first, and a father second. So, that's how she ended up justifying him taking his girls out to do something like this. Granted, Clover didn't care, it was fun for her and she wasn't really the girly type that Posey tended to be. There was a natural competitiveness to her which made it all the more fun for her...and she knew that Lucas would love it.
There weren't a ton of people here today, given that it was indoors and in the middle of the afternoon, but Clover was currently 'stalking' Lucas from behind ready to fire at a moment's notice. She had her game face on and when he started to turn she ducked behind a pile-on and got as low as she could before sticking her head out slowly. Plus of being as small as she was, at least she could find hiding spots. "SURRENDER!!" she yelled at him before she ducked back down after letting off a shot that she was sure that missed him.
