Who Toby Søren and Elias Almgren What Catching up! Adventure time! When Saturday, July 16 (forward-dated) Where Toby's place and then anywhere Status In progress Rating Low, I imagine?
Elias couldn't help but feel a little dejá vù as he ascended the stairs to Toby's apartment - just like last Saturday, it was roughly ten o'clock in the morning and he was carrying breakfast for two from Starbucks. The reason he was doing it all over again was that their last meeting had been cut rather short by the unfortunate event of Toby disappearing right before Elias' eyes and leaving him with a half finished two-person breakfast and a sentence half-delivered. After waiting around for a little while to see if his friend would return, Elias had then left the customary note and left for elsewhere. He'd brought the remains of both their breakfasts, thinking it'd have been a waste to let Toby's stuff grow all cold and icky. Hey, he'd paid for it, after all. Besides, he was making up for stealing his friend's breakfast now, bringing him new, yummy foodstuffs.
Reaching the landing where Toby's door could be found, Elias shifted the Starbucks bag from one arm to the other to be able to knock at the door with his right hand. As he waited for Toby to open, Elias patted his trouser pocket to make sure that his cellphone was still there. In case Toby was sleeping, he'd simply have to call and wake the guy up. "Breakfast delivery, take two!" he said as he leaned in towards the door, smiling slightly. When he'd first gotten to know Toby, the random teleportations had kind of freaked him out, but an odd twenty years into their friendship Elias had learnt to deal with the other man disappearing without warning. He was an adaptable kind of guy and if his friend suddenly went missing, he had no bigger problems with changing his plans. Of course, there had been more than a few times when he'd had to go pick Toby up or otherwise help him out after the younger man had teleported himself into a pickle, but most of the time it wasn't any bigger problem. Elias knocked at the door again, for good measure.
