Who: Tessa & Rory What: Late night sleep over Where: Rory's Apartment When: After this. Rating: Low Status: Incomplete
Tessa couldn't believe she was doing this and yet as soon as Rory had made the offer she had been gathering stuff up to take with her even as she texted him back. It was the same thing that had made her reach for her phone to text him yet again after the nightmares had been too much. Until moving back to Boston, Tessa hadn't realized just how well she had been at lying to herself. Even now she was trying to tell herself that she was going it because she wanted to escape the apartment and see if it helped. Yes, that was part of it but a bigger part of it was because she wanted to see Rory. Three years ago it had always been easier to fall back asleep after she woke up if he was there. While she seriously doubted there be any sleeping beside each other, she was hoping just knowing he was under the same roof would help.
There was not much traffic out on the streets at 2 a.m in the morning and she was grateful for that. It seemed like she was pulling up in front of Rory's apartment in no time. Before she could decide that this was probably a bad idea, she grabbed the small bag she had packed and headed up the steps. Tessa was about to knock on the door when she worried about waking up Gio. She knew from Rory that he had been staying at Calvin's a lot lately but what if he had decided to sleep at home that night? She had already woke Rory, she didn't want to wake Gio as well. Her car keys were still in her hand and all of a sudden she remembered that she had never returned Rory's key. The fact that she had never taken the key off her key ring was just another reminder of how much she had tried to deny things to herself while still hanging on.
Quietly she unlocked the door and slipped inside before being sure to lock back up. Still worried about waking anyone else up she softly called out for Rory as she made her way into the apartment. Last thing she needed was for him to think she was a prowler even though he knew she was coming. After all he probably wasn't expecting her to let herself in.
