Who: Caterina and Mathis What: Cat checking out this stud that her best friend, Corin, has spoken about. Where: BPD When: April 26, Tuesday; Lunch hour (BACK-DATED) Rating: Low? Status: Incomplete
With it being a sunny Tuesday, Cat thought it would be a wonderful idea to strut her stuff at the BPD and drag Corin off to get something to eat. At least she was hoping this was her best friend’s lunch hour, if not, she didn’t mind hanging around until the girl was allowed to leave the dungeon of her work room. But taking Corin to lunch wasn’t the only reason why Cat made a surprise visit. She wanted to check this Mathis out and see what kind of man he was and if he could possibly be a great match for her friend.
And the best way to do that was to shrink herself as small as a mouse, after finding out from a handsome rookie where the man’s current office was. He was such a sweetheart. She might even give him a call later and see if he wanted to grab a bite to eat.
Cat was being as invisible as a little person could possibly be; making sure no one saw her running toward a desk or toward a corner of a doorframe. She was guessing by now that she might be close to Mathis’ office. It was always hard to tell at a height like this. Well, here goes nothing, she thought to herself before crossing the long stretch of hallway – to her – toward the door that she was guessing was the right one. She made sure no one was around before forcing herself back to her original height. And as she opened the door to squeeze through and close it behind her, she stretched out a bit and could already feel her body wanting to take a nap after that prolonged use of her power. But she had to use it again. How else was she going to get out of her without being seen?
There wasn’t much on the desk to help her – nor was there anything in the desk drawers. Cat let out a loud huff as she spun around in the chair for a few seconds. “There has to be something here about him,” she said out loud.
And right as she was going toward the file cabinets, she heard someone outside of the door. Hell. She could see a silhouette of someone.
“Shit!” She quickly moved from the chair, stopped it from spinning, and made sure everything was where she found it before dashing under the desk and concentrating hard on her body to shrink once again to the size of a mouse. Once she was in the clear, she was going to run out of here like a mad woman on fire.
