Ever since Cat got into Boston all she could think about was seeing as well as spending time with her best friend! Yeah, she didn’t say anything to Corin right when she landed, which was rude of her, but she’ll blame it all on her manager. He was the one who made her get up and go, go, go for things that needed her attention more than her personal life. Not that Cat was complaining about it! The girl did love working on her music and working with people who love it as well. And when it had to deal with PEM, Cat was all over that like a chubby kid was with chocolate cake.
Before anything about the murder was glued on every television station and paper, Cat wanted to call her friend and ask if she wanted to do something. Or surprise her at her work. Whichever would have been fine with her, and she knew Corin would have loved it. Surprising Corin would have been better, because she wouldn’t be expecting it! Plus, though this was all Cat’s sneaky planning, she would investigate this guy that has Corin’s panties all in a knot.
One of these days it will happen. Right now… really wouldn’t be the best time.
But for now, Cat was able to spend a weekend with her girlfriend. Well, after her manager shuts up and goes home. He has been following her throughout her whole condo while she got everything ready after she called Corin to start heading over before the dinner bell rang. She decided to order pizza for the both of them and waited for that to arrive along with her friend.
“Mike, I love everything you are preaching right now, but will you zip it and go home.” It didn’t come out as a polite question, and her manager heard it when he was silenced by her words.
“Fine. But tomorrow you owe me.” He pointed a finger in her direction before gathering his things and making his way to the door without her help.
Without the weight of her manager hovering over her, she was so tempted to fall onto her bed and fall asleep. But she kept herself from doing that by remembering that the night was far from being over. And as if the Gods heard her, the doorbell sounded off and she was skipping her way over to it. She wasn’t expecting to see the pizza guy and Corin at the same time, in front of the same door. “Well! This is a treat.”
