WHO: Priest & John WHAT: Walking the dog WHEN: April 5th, evening. WHERE: Park. RATING: G(?) STATUS: Complete.
This Chesapeake bay retriever was going to be the death of her if work or drinking didn't do her in first. After his antics the other day Mom had managed to work her self into a fit. Which was just great, after months of therapy and god knows what else, she had been getting stable again, just to flip her lid over this damn dog. Axe's mom had managed to be in such a tizzy that she'd managed to slip down the stairs after the fact that Al'd gotten back and injured her self. Life was just one big joke after the other huh? At this point if the blame laid on the dog, her mother or her self who fucking knew. Maybe if she had been around more she would have seen this all coming...
A huff of air was let out before glancing around. Either which way, the dog didn't know any better and her mom... She had to debate if the woman knew any better any more either. Nana had seen through the facade to her annoyance, frustration and underlying upsetness which she'd been trying to drink away the past few nights and had offered advice saying that somethings "These things just happen." Right. Just happen. Like people just happen to rob banks or steal cars? Urgh.
If Bev lived closer by this would be way easier. They could take shifts. And then when mom panicked Axe wouldn't have two people to calm down, just one. Since as soon as mom panicked phone calls always went out to both daughters and then Al would have to pick up the pieces later. Even though she'd never admit it, this really was too much for just one person to take. Nana tried to help but... At her age she tended to be ignored a lot by mom since the older woman couldn't physically impose her self into the situation at most times.
It was a cluster fuck. There was no other way to explain this whole ordeal. If dad was around, none of this would be happening. There would be no problems... Well, that was a lie, of course there would be. Dad was the one who was made the most 'uncomfortable' by Priest's... differences in the family. This shit shouldn't be this complicated.
Finally hitting an area in the park where dog could actually be taken off the leash Axe leaned down, petting the top of Suz's head.
"Now be good and play nice, all right? I'll have ya frisbee out in a sec." Unhooking the leash she let Suz take off in a sprint across the field while Al swiveled her pack around to the front to retrieve Suz's frisbee.
