Who Evan Hendricks and Dylan Davenport What Epic awkwardness, anyone? When Thursday afternoon, July 21 Where Out and about in Boston Rating Medium? Status In progress
Dylan had never been an avoidant person. He could be stubborn and proud, yes, but not avoidant. He dealt with problems in one way or another, but didn't like turning a blind eye to them completely. There was an exception to every rule however and what had happened on the night of his break-up with his girlfriend a month ago had triggered major avoidance tendencies in Dylan. Granted, it had taken him quite a few days to even remember what had happened at Evan's place, in the haze of a drunken hour, but once he'd grown sure it had actually happened and wasn't just a fix idea that his drunk brain had conjured up... Well, there wasn't much he could do to make it undone, so he'd moved on to the next best thing - ignoring it.
It hadn't been easy at first. Not while Evan was still trying to get in touch with him. His phone had buzzed and Dylan had ignored it, calls and text messages alike. He didn't want to talk to Evan because he didn't know what the fuck to say to the other man. The exact feelings from that night were lost, but the awkwardness that came over Dylan whenever the memory slipped into the front of his mind was enough to keep him from wanting to explore further. He obviously hadn't shared the happening with anyone and had no intention of doing so. It was probably ridiculous (and not very grown-up) of him to think that he'd never had to see Evan again, but such was his mindset and it had worked alright so far.
It was Thursday afternoon, just after work and Dylan was out running. The weather was nice and warm and his a-shirt was sticking slightly to his back as he slowed to a brisk walk, putting the top of his water bottle between his teeth and pulling it it. He look a few long sips of water before popping the cap closed again. A hand through his hair pushed the curls out of his face, eyes narrowed against the sun as he moved on down the street.
