Sirius hadn't even bothered to take his things to his assigned apartment. Why the hell would he care about Muggle devices that meant very little to him at this point? The one was decent for communicating but the bigger, plastic, square thing? He'd no idea what the bloody hell it did.
No matter, it was his and he carried it with him all the way to the bar. Sirius hadn't had a proper drink in too long to remember. Hell, he'd been too afraid to get drunk no matter how many charms he placed around whatever shithole he'd found himself in. The war was taking its toil on everyone, and Sirius, while grateful for the break, knew that he needed to get back home.
There were people depending on him. He supposed though that everyone had that story, or at least, from what he'd seen on the thing called the network it appeared to be that way. Running a hand through his hair, Sirius sighed, maybe there wasn't even a bloody way to get home. Wouldn't that be a kick in the pants?
The idea that he'd never see any of his mates again made his heart ache, and made him want a stout drinking something fierce. As he neared the center of town, Sirius started glancing up at the signs above the businesses, and finally he stopped in front of Test City Bar and Grill. He took note that the liquor store was next door, and headed inside. The smell of good food, strong liquor, and beer met his nose the moment he walked in. Breathing in deeply, he let out a long breath, "Merlin, I'm so ready to get pissed." He looked around to see if he spotted the blonde he'd spoken with on the network, and after spotting her, he headed in her direction. "Ah, there you are. I was worried for a moment that I'd been stood up." He flashed her a charming smile, "Sirius Black, and I'm ready to drink away my worries if you are."
It would only be a temporary fix, Sirius knew that. The war had left a darkness hanging over him, darker than he could ever imagine, but he was trying not to let it show as he sat his things down and took a seat.
