Elsa's brows furrowed low over her eyes, a line appearing between them. It sounded sad, lonely even to be trapped. Elsa could understand that feeling all too well.
Her imprisionment was by choice while Lapis's did not.
"That sounds horrible. Being trapped I mean. I can understand some of it. I locked myself away for many years to keep myself from hurting anyone I loved. Mine was by choice though." She truly felt bad that Lapis had to endure that.
Curiously, Elsa canted her head to the side. "I'm sorry your home wasn't as it was when you left." She was curious as to what Lapis meant by borrowing the ocean, but in the end, she decided it wasn't any of her business. If Lapis was willing to speak of it on her own accord, that was fine with Elsa, she would listen to what she had to say.
"At least you are free now. Even if we're stuck here for the time being, you're free."
