With a nod of understanding, Paul let out a long breath through his nose. "I see. Well, welcome, again." Paul laughed as well, not sure what else he could offer other than a welcome and a tour. He wasn't anybody but a mall security guard, he had no powers like he'd seen other people stating they had and he came from a completely normal world.
Paul's brows rose as Lee bowed, and his mouth opened about to tell him that he was welcome and to follow him when Lee asked about his segway. Placing a hand on the handle, he gave it an almost fond pat. "This is a segway. It's an electric device that helps the mall security officers get around faster." Paul didn't need to mention his weight, it was quite obvious that he wasn't thin or that light on his feet. With the segway, however, he could get around the mall a heck of a lot easier.
He wouldn't have made it out West Orange Pavilion Mall had he not had his segway. "You control it by leaning forward, backward, or to the side depending on what direction you want to go." Paul appreciated it, and it showed in his tone. "Alright, so a tour. There's a department store back that way," he pointed behind them, "and a gym called Planet Fitness down on the other end of the mall." He pointed in the direction away from them. "Some of the stores are still empty, I'm not sure why that is but I guess there's a reason for everything." Paul shrugged, and then moved to get back on the segway. "Let me park this out of the way, and we'll take a walk."
Paul moved the segway into the shoe store that was close by, telling the worker that he'd be back for it shortly before returning to where Lee was. "I'm Paul Blart, by the way." He offered his hand and a smile, remembering his manners just like his mother had taught him.
