"You're a very caring person, Queen Elsa. Your home is lucky to have you and we are lucky to be able to borrow you in the meantime."
They were lucky, weren't they? They got to have this amazing experience. It was out of the realm of possibility for even someone like Charlie St. Cloud. There was nothing like Test City at home as far as he knew. People with gifts which made him look normal? Beings from everywhere all brought together for no particular reason whatsoever...
It felt surreal only thinking about it.
Charlie knew if he'd told someone at home about Sam, they wouldn't have understood. He'd have bought himself a one-way-ticket to a loony bin. No one would have spoken to him the way Elsa had. She'd offered him empathy, kindness, understanding, acceptance. She hadn't questioned his sanity or his story. All she had done was share a bit of herself to help him feel better in return.
"I think I'll hold onto that advice. My brother can feel me in his heart the way I feel him in mine. I think your sister likely feels the same way. We're lucky people. Good family? That's the best thing to have. Good friends? Second best thing. I'm glad to make friends with you, Elsa. Thanks for helping me appreciate the best things in life."
