It would have been so much easier and far more convenient for Liv to think that Charlie was just crazy. She could have utterly dismissed him as such, without a second thought. It would have been easier, sure. But she knew she would just be lying to herself. She'd be lying so she wouldn't have to feel any more guilty about chowing down on brains than she already did.
She nodded, thinking it would probably bother her to know someone was performing an autopsy on her. It had bothered her enough just to wake up in a body bag after her attack. Blaine DeBeers had made her what she was now, and unless she wanted to go full on zombie, eating brains was a necessity. She wasn't going to share that with Charlie of course, but now her mind was full of worry and guilt. It was bad enough she got their traits and memories, but for them to know she was eating it? This conversation was making her entirely too uncomfortable.
"Right well, I should give you two some privacy." Liv said. "I'll be right outside if you need me." She tried to sound calm, but this definitely created a dilemma for her. And Ravi wasn't here to help her solve it. Back home when she ate someone's brain, she could feel like she was helping them. She was solving murders. But here? It was a whole different story.
